I realize this might seem simple but I just got into the world of pivots finally, and have a few questions, the first one I need and answer for because I can't continue with my project until I know how to straighten my pivot.
So yea first question, how do you straighten your pivot point back to its original angle after you tweaked it earlier? I have tried resetting my move/rotate/scale too settings as I have seen others suggest, it didn't work. The context is I have a cylinder, and I want to scale it to be taller, but after tweaking my pivot earlier even though I tried to straighten it manually, I can see it is tilting my vertices a decent amount, enough that I imagine there must be a better way to do this.
Second question, how do you make sure that your pivot follows your edges, vertices, and faces when rotating? I was making a person earlier and when rotating certain edge loops to follow the spinal cord, I found that my pivot didn't follow the rotations so I couldn't scale effectively, or as effectively as usual. I remember that this wasn't a problem earlier and I imagine I accidentally touched a setting at some point.
If anyone has any other tips about pivots all would be appreciated, self-teaching is a slow process and I love to know as much as I can, I already know how to move and adjust it (obviously or else I wouldn't be in this predicament XD) and I know how to snap it to certain vertices but that is about it, baking pivots and anything else I have no clue what they do.
Thank you anyone for any time you give to help me out it is much appreciated.
