Overlap error in certain camera angles

I am making a 2.5d fire animation and I am quite new in Maya. In certain camera angles the fire plane appear in front, even though it is set behind. How can I solve this problem?

Hi!

Change Transparency Algorithm:

in Viewport menu: Renderer -> Viewport 2.0 Settings / Hardware 2.0 Settings -> Performance -> Transparency Algorithm ("Weighted Average", "Depth Peeling" or new "Alpha Cut")

I know this is an old topic but how can I do the samething for software renderer? Because I'm using a lot of pfxToonShape objects and basic toon(lamp) shaders, which seem don't work for hardware renderer. Thanks!

Hi!

Software renderer work different and usually do not have this kind of problem, so this should not happen with a software renderer.
