Hi, I'm having an issue with my model, everytime I try to do something with it (like extrude or connect verts) it shows me this warning in the script editor:
// Warning: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2020/scripts/others/ShiftClickSmartDupe.mel line 31: polyMergeVert198 (Poly Merge Vert): No vertices were merged. Tolerance too large - no geometry left after merge //
And if I keep trying it ends up breaking up like this:
Does anybody knows what's going on?
Thanks!

The Warning is somehow related to this option in your move/rotate/scale tool
Hard to tell what is happening to your model remotely. What you can try is to:
- Edit>DeleteByType>History.
- Modeling>Mesh>Cleanup[options] : enable non-manifold geometry, lamina faces, faces with holes, etc.. my take on this is as follows:
You might wish to perform Cleanup several times, as one iteration might fix issue A, but cause issue B.. and in the end still not guarantee that the problem will be fixed.
Try extruding faces now.
Most of the problems of this kind are caused by uncontrolled welding vertices or extruding non-border edges. Be conscious of what is considered non-manifold geo and you'll be safe.

Maybe you're trying to do something to the object but you are in component selection mode (vertices, faces, edges) as opposed to being in Object mode perhaps? In this image you are in vertex selection mode, and it sounds like that's NOT the issue, but still, worth bringing up.
In any event, please update your post with specific on how you are trying to merge vertices and then a specific on how/what you are trying to extrude, please and let's tackle those specifically and see. Is there a way to capture and post a video of what's happening with those?
Hi! The only way I could fix this issue was exporting the model as an OBJexport and importing it in a new scene, good as new!
