My mesh doesn't look proper.

Hi everyone!

I'm really new at Maya. All the models that I've worked before was hard surface.
Now I'm working on a model that we can call organic.
Actually I guess there is nothing wrong with my topology. (all my polygons are quad.) But also my mesh has this kind of deformations.

I've tried to use soften edge from mesh display but it didn't solve the problem.

Is there anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Good day ,

Your edges are too close , giving the hard surface look instead of "Organic"

Also you have vertices moved and not positioned properly that's why it has a weird look instead of looking smooth.

Always be careful when you select and move your objects and check your topology if it's right.

I hope I've helped you

Hello!

Thank you for your advice. I've tried to position the vertices correctly for a couple of hours but the result was like in the images that I uploaded.
I've solved the problem by smoothing my model twice and using smooth sculpting tool. Now my model's polycount is higher but it works anyway.
Next time I will try to touch the vertices less.

Thank you again 🙂

That problem is face normals. When you see like theese problems without smooth its all about face normals. For fix it First pick your object then  Go MEsh Display - Set normal Ange - give it 30 or 35. Or u can fix it by smoothing as real smooth or preview

Thank you Enes!

I've already solved the issue in some way. Next time when I have this kind of problem again I will try the method you advised. It would be more practical.
