Multi-cut tool doesn't go through entire geometry

When using the multi-cut tool the edge loop does not go through the entire width. What can I do to make it go all the way? Insert edge loop behaves the same way.

you might have Ngons. The tools are designed to work on quad geo .

another tool you can use is the insert edge loop tool.

Check for any mesh topology errors.

I figured out that there were a few vertices that were so close together that it was imperceptible.

Edit Mesh > Merge (threshold: 0.37)

did the trick.

You can enable the heads up display to keep track of the mesh vertices count while modeling as well as other important information, it’s under Display.

Also whenever a tool fails is good to check the components of the mesh for floating faces edges or vertices and Select>Use Constraints is very helpful for debugging .

Also ... if you ever delete an edge, use the Edit Mesh > Delete Edge/Vertex. That way you don't leave behind random verts.
