@mspeer you´re right and while it´s great for most mirror operations the cut functionality is only halfway there since it´s missing the axis/plane handle like the old tool. ![]()
@Anonymous if it´s what you´re after the script is still existing so the mel command
polyMirrorCut 1 1 0.001
will work.
Thank you so much... I appreciate you both...
Hi
I thought the new tool would behave the same way like the old, just without the visible plane, but the interactive rotate tool or the so called Mirror Plane Rotate Attributes do not just rotate the mirror plane (like in old Mirror Cut) they rotate the faces created by mirroring, which can lead to strange results. Is this really intended?
didn´t work much with 2017 yet. you´re right they put back the rotate options in the channel box. where missing in 2016.5. i really hope the behavior is not intended since it makes the result completely useless. also not being able to have a visible plane which you can rotate in the viewport makes it a nice mirror along x,y,z tool but the mirror cut functionality which was quite handy from time to time is lost until it gets fixed...if it gets fixed.
