Maya: How to reproject HP details onto a subdivided LP mesh

Hello, I have made my LP mesh for my Zbrush character. I am planning to subdivide the character up at render time so that it is smoother, but I dont know how to subdivide the mesh so that it reprojects the details of a HP mesh. To clarify, I am not trying to bake the normal info, I am trying to reproject. In blender, this is done using a multi-res modifier which will subdivide the mesh up, and as it is subdivided it will "morph" into the HP model, similarly to how increase the subdiv level in zbrush will make the initial lp model look like the HP model. I have attached a video where someone does this in blender (please do not comment saying "learn the maya interface", I know how to use maya I just havent figured this feature out). If you go @4:40 in the video he goes through the process in blender. Thank you very much for the help!

I would do that with a displacement map. Its the most memory efficient solution.

There is no multires subD in Maya.
