Maya 2025 rename tool not working
You should view this as a software bug, but a simple solution is to first enable the Shows Shape nodes menu in the Outliner > Display. Then, select the Shape Node followed by the Transform Node, and repeat this process for the other objects. Essentially, you are selecting each Shape Node and its corresponding Transform Node one at a time. Once you enter a name in the Rename field, all the selected objects will be renamed.
However, the issue is that the numbering of the objects would not be in the correct order, which can be time-consuming if there are many objects in the scene.
