Hello, there is an issue where Maya freezes when I load a file I was working on. The file has a low poly mesh(in smooth mode) and 2 image planes. If im lucky I can move the model around a bit but when I try to bridge or connect components mayas down.
Computer Specs:
Intel(R) i7-7700 CPU @3.60GHz, 3601 Mhz, 4 Cores, 8 Logical Processors
I've tried a couple things:
1) Disabled one of the two graphics drivers in device manager. Intel 630 disabled produces a fatal error when booting maya. NIVIDIA GTX 1060 is unused when maya is up. Maybe theres a way for me to choose this driver instead?
2) Increased virtual memory. My computer comes with 16gb ram stock but because the output window mentioned high memory usage I figured this might help. Results were unchanged.
3) Tampered with Intel HD Graphics settings. Conservative Morphologial Anti-Aliasing -> switched from 'Turn Off' to 'Override Application Default Settings'. Also, Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing -> 'Turn off' to 'Use Application Default Settings'. Using these settings actually increased memory usage shown in mayas output window.
4)Returned settings to normal ^ and did a clean uninstall / redownload and install of Maya 2018. Crashing still occurs.
Please, tell me what can I do to fix this?
