Hello!
I am attempting to clean up my UVs, but whenever I try to unfold/optimize, the program crashes with a fatal error. Thought that there was an issue with my model, but using unfold/optimize on a basic box gives the same effect. Here is the Output Window text:

I fear you wont get any help for such an old Maya version.
One thing to try is to use lagacy option for unfolding.
