I try to make a cup using a curve and revolve tool but something is wrong.

See at first I made a curve 

and then right after I clicked the revolve tool, My subject turned out black instead of gray

and I didn't put any lights it was a just a normal mode. I just can't figure out why this turned out like this.

The version is 2016 and it's window 10. Thank you!
