How would I go about putting a hole in this panel?

I am modeling a speaker and need to put a hole in this back panel for the port tube. I was able to put holes in the back for the binding posts, but can't quite figure out how to get another hole towards the top center that goes through the entire panel.

I'm fairly new to trying to create models with clean topology which i am not even sure if this panel has lol.

Thank You!

Make pCylinder, do a Boolean Difference and then retopologize the result. The model still is in the stage where it is too early to care about the topology - make a general shape with holes and openings, retolologize after. The bindnig posts seem to be one object with the panel. You don't have to model everything in one piece, you will get cleaner result.

Thanks! I was trying to avoid booleans as I was told they are messy/encourage bad modeling habits. But i went ahead and did that and it turned out pretty well! the binding posts and the back are one piece since i am intending on 3d printing this!

Do not use boolean is old news. Now you can boolean the heck out of the main geometry and run remesh and retopo.. awsome tool in Maya now.
