A jpg would only be a rendered image of the model, not the model itself. Is that what you mean?

If you mean that you just want an image of your model, you can either render it in something like Arnold and then save that out as a jpg format from the Arnold window, or you could just take a screenshot of the model in your viewport. But if you’re saying that you want to export the 3D model itself, then you would need a different format, something like an FBX or OBJ. A jpg is only a 2D image.

Do you have lights in your scene? If you haven’t used Arnold before, I’d recommend watching a tutorial 🙂

Sorry, I don't know much about hard-surface modeling in Maya. You could model one stitch and then play with the Duplicate Special option. Again, probably something a tutorial could help you out with.
