How to freeze a UVS, or stick them together

How to freeze a UVS, or stack overlapping UVs together, so when the Layout function is executed, the UVs does not change its location on the texture.
It's very usual and important thing, but why in Maya its doesn't work :'c

Maya cant do that. We delete the geo and duplicate it afterwards or copy the uvs over.
