how to fix weird faces and vertices

I am working on making a dinosaur mouth and every time I move a single vertex it starts freaking out. I made sure to merge all the vertices together, and even use clean up. But once I move any vertex around the mouth. it messes up.before.JPGafter.JPG

When I quit without saving it still happens so its definitely something I did wrong. But yea when I don't touch anything it looks fine but when I move anything around the mouth it blows up. Its also weird because you cant select the messed up triangle faces either.

Hi!

You have some edges connected to more than 2 faces (inside the mouth), correct this and it will work.

Edit:

You could also switch Smooth Mesh Preview to "Maya Catmull-Clark" but i highly recommend to correct the mesh anyway.
