How to create glassy objects for Unity

Hello,

 

I have to create an an orb object that has a glassy look for Unity.

I can't use mentalray since its materials wont export into FBX.

I was wondering if there was any other ways to create a glassy object without mentalray materials?

Hi!

 

Create the glass material in Unity and use in Maya whatever you like.

You cannot "transfer" materials you just can transfer attributes and values and when these values are assigned to materials at another application that does not support the same materials and use the same render engine it will look different anyway.

 

Have a look at Unity Documentation what files, materials and settings are supported when using Import.
