How do I scale/rotate a tv that is made of multiple objects?

I've been trying to find the answer for this but i can't. So i have an old tv that's made of different objects, like the knobs, box, screen and antenna. When i select everything and move it it's fine. But when i rotate or scale everything goes insane. The objects when they scale seem to go to their own pivot point. When i rotate, strangely only certain objects separate from the others but everything else seems in order. I've been looking over my settings, tried grouping. I don't know what settings or different method i need to do. Really frustrated and I have an assignment due soon, help asap would really be appreciated.

Just group everything and scale the group.

Another option is to parent the objects to a NURBs Circle (circle won't render, but objects will). Move the circle to the center of your TV first, size it for easy grabbing, and treat it like any other control object in your project. (You may want to Freeze Transformations on the objects after parenting them).  Any resizing or rotating will be done from the center of the circle.

If you just group them, be sure to select the group, and then Modify: Center Pivot.
