how can I add more control vertices between two control vertices ?

I'm trying to make the the corner exactly 90 degrees but I'm unable to add extra vertices between two particular vertices( I have highlighted them) please help!!!

I tried add points tool give me this error,

// Warning: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2019/scripts/others/curveAddPtToolScript.mel line 45: Cannot add points to periodic curves. //

and rebuild curve add control vertices on the whole curve but i just want it between 2 vertices.

Hi!

Use Insert Knot, but you need to select curve points or edit points and not control vertices.

Thank you it worked. But now I'm facing a new problem I selected the curve in object mode and I gave planar under surfaces. I can see the plane in outliner but not in the viewport. Btw the curve is closed But Ihave moved some of the control vertices a little up. I dont know whats causing the trouble.

Hi!

All curve points need to be on the same plane, or this will not create a valid surface.
