I'm new to Maya and today I got stuck at some point in maya... when ever I move a vertex, edge or face maya create this movement as a copy... this is driving me crazy.. can someone help me?? how can I disable it?
Create another cube in that same scene and see if still happens to that cube. If not, then you probably extruded your mesh by accident and now you have faces on top of faces. If that is the case, you have to delete them. See if that works.
