FBX Import Issue: First import only works

I am trying to bring in several .fbx files to make an animation of a mechanical leg and I am having a lot of trouble loading multiple files into the scene. When I load in my first file, it all comes in but after that first file, no other objects will load in. I am modeling in Rhino 5 and exporting into an .fbx to load into Maya and I can't seem to find any help on this anywhere. Below are some images of what I see when I try to load these in. The first file loads in fine and the rest are not loading any object with them. They only load into the scene as this small green cursor in the second image. I also posted what the model should look like from the model in Rhino.

You need to rename the model/mesh or folder once its in the maya scene, they most likey have the same name, model1etc if they come from rhino

Here are the majority of those .fbx files.

The issue is that the import is not bringing in the object at all. How could I rename the model/mesh when there is no object available to rename. I have imported each individual .fbx file into separate maya files and they all come in fine and every other later import comes in empty. So could I use these individual scenes to rename the objects and bring them in via copy+paste into one total scene?

Hi!

@hoganburrows is right, the problem is duplicate object names.

You should not re-name the second object after import, you should rename the first object strict after import, then the second object is not recognized as duplicate. (Then rename second object and import 3rd, ...).

All your objects are named "Object_1" / "Object_1Shape".
