Extruding edges while in symmetry scales model

Hello everyone. I' really don't know how to describe my issue, other than whats in the title. 
This issue started an hour ago (I've only been working on the model for about 5).

I'm using Maya 2020

you extrude buy holding shift right? i have this problem too, dont know why its happend some times, but just extrude ctrl+e or in right click+etrude
