Hi!
I'm creating a new Text with the type tool. As soon as I change the actual letters in the attribute editor I get this:
# Error: line 2: Object 'offsetPositionAEReplacement' not found.
# Traceback (most recent call last):
# File "<maya console>", line 1, in <module>
# File "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2017\Python\lib\site-packages\maya\app\type\AEtypeTemplate.py", line 741, in add_tabs_replace
# cmds.attrFieldGrp( array[0],e=True, en=array[2], at='%s%s' % (nodeName[0], array[1]) )
# RuntimeError: Object 'offsetPositionAEReplacement' not found.
The AE Window is messed up and I can't change the needed parameters, of course.
It works in a clean scene, though.
Maya2017 Update 2, Win10
did you try to reset your Maya prefs? That might do the trick. I have tested on several machines, yet I'm unable to reproduce this issue. The only way I can get weird error is if I use a very complex font (not all fonts will work with the Type tool) so try with just a simple font if you are using a custom font that Maya might have hard time with? I look forward to your reply, thank you
