Cut and edge loop in multiple objects

Hey

I wanna know if it is possible to make a precisely straight line when cutting a face, as you can see in the picture i couldn't make it, i tried some shortcuts that in another software would do it, but couldn't find.

And if is some way to make a cut or use edge loop in 2 separate object at the same time, or maybe another way that i could do it, like selecting 2 different objects, and making the same cut in both of them.

If you hold own Control and Shift you will be able to make 90 degree cuts as shown in the image below.
