I created an "s" shaped tube using a 3d paint stroke that was then converted to polygons. At the area where the tube folds back onto itself, it creates a "valley", and I want to be able to smooth this valley or merge both sides and eliminate the valley, etc. However, there are no vertices at the valley where the two shapes intersect, just triangles on either side of the valley, and vertices along the spine of the paint stroke. How can I edit this mesh to be able to smooth the "valley" between strokes?
