Bug when moving vertices/edges/faces

I'm pretty new to Maya, and I have no idea why this is happening. When trying to move vertices, edges or faces, I get this bug which can be seen in this link: https://gyazo.com/608a2de9070cee89474bbe95c44646b6

I don't get the same problem when working on other project files, only this one specifically.

Actually, I realized it happens all the time, even when working on another project. I tried restarting Maya as well, and the same bug keeps happening.

I had somehow turned on the slide edge tool, which was something I hadn't heard about before. So basically this wasn't a bug, but it was a mistake.
