Bridge Tool and wrong face direction

Good Morning guys.

I'm working on this model, is actually my first model on Maya, and I've been able to solve all the problems that a beginner gets usually, apart from this one. It's something that I can't understand.

Very easy: I'm trying to bridge two faces with the bridge tool in order to create a curve for a mug handle.

Let me show you the screen of the two faces selected:

Selected FacesSelected Faces

Now I'll show you my Bridge Tool settings:Bridge Tool SettingsBridge Tool Settings

And finally the result of the operation:

Wrong Face DirectionWrong Face Direction

As you can clearly see, the bottom face looks somehow inverted, it looks like the bridge tool is picking the internal side of the selected face. I'm pretty sure I'm selecting the right one, and I've checked in wireframe mode if there is any other face selected, but nothing, all looks normal, well apart from the final result.

Guys, I don't know how to explain my issue further.

If you need more details please ask me and I'll answer as fast as I can.

Thank you for your help.

The easiest way round this that I would do is not use the bridge tool at all. How I would deal with this kind of problem would be to extrude one of the faces and then connect it to the other bit of handle. If you hold down V to connect it to the other edge it should be a smooth join. And insert a few edge loops to smooth out the handle and you should be done. Hope it helps.

Thanks for your reply!

In the end, I solved by extruding those faces twice. I don't know why, but apparently if with the first extrude the bridge didn't seem to understand the direction of the face, with the second instead all went well.

DoneDoneThank you anyway!
