I have a doubt about how to make a nice clean mapping for this mesh.
I'm working on a mushroom for environment and i started making the mapping for it. It had no problems with the hat after unfolding it but with the body it deforms by making the bottom very small while expanding a lot the top. I could do it manually but that could be time consuming so i wonder if there is an easy way to make it straight and clear.

make a seam along the trunk.
Already did it if this is what you mean with the seam. I don't know if it should have more cuts.
