Bend multiple objects

I am trying to make a dynamic ready circular tower.  I have modeled a single block, created an array.  However when I select all the blocks and apply the Bend Deformer, all I get is skewed results no matter how it is rotated or changed.

I know how to do this in 3ds max... select all and Bend Modifier and it works.

Assistance would be appreciated.

Ok, this may need to be moved to dynamics.   I got it to bend and look the way I wanted but the dynamics are acting very odd.

See image below.

  1. All models have their history deleted
  2. All models have been Frozen
  3. All collision margins are 0.
  4. there are no forces other than Gravity within Bulletsolver

Using Bullet and Rigid Sets

The image displays the motion of what is happening.. the motion continues in a spiral to the left and down.

thanks.

So whats the problem?  The dynamics are just acting funny?

Based on a straight wall, the blocks should just settle.  Not spiral out of control.

Oh...you're not looking for a spiral effect?  Just the bricks coming down naturally?

yes, I just want the bricks to be sitting there so I can hit them with a cannon ball.

You must have some kind of force or turbulance doing this.  Otherwise they would just sit there.  Select all the blocks and take them into a new scene and redo the dynamics...making sure you do not connect no force or turb to them.

Get rid of that bulletsolver.

Just use rigid bodies.

I think I may have just figured it out. The pivots were way off the center and the objects - even in dynamics - were trying to rotation about a distant pivot. Once I fixed the pivot - Center Pivot - it works as expected.
