access to dreamcatcher plugin for maya???

Hello,

I am trying to get access to the Autodesk Dreamcatcher plugin for maya. The only thing I can found on it are some news articles and some tutorials on how to use the plugin, but no download links or purchase pages anywhere. Was it part of autodesk labs and now its closed? Im currently using a generative design software called "Generate" by a company called Frustum, but I would prefer to stick with Autodesk if possible.

Really hoping its not too late to try it out. Ive read that itll be public soon in a browser based platform, but I really, really want it! 

Any help would be tremendously appreciated. Thanks, and happy holidays.

Project Dreamcatcher is a research project being developed by Autodesk Research in Toronto. To my knowledge, there have been no publicly available previews of the technology. We did announce at Autodesk University in Las Vegas that we plan to make it commercially available next year. As part of that process, it would be typical for us to have beta programs prior to official release.

Do you know if its likely to be a standalone software or a plugin? And if plugin, what software most likely do you think it will be incorporated into? Max, Maya...both?...And while i am at it, will it cover all the aspects of generative design? Form synthesis, lattice and surface optimization...etc...Or will there likely be a separate plugin/software for each?

Any info will be greatly appreciated!.

The company likes to keep its options open. As a publicly traded company, we don't announce new products or release dates in advance. The official word is that "generative design technology will be commercialized this year." That's as specific as is gets. Sorry, that my response is kind of lame.

Now in 2018 where I can find dreamcatcher plugin ?

In 2018, our generative design technology is being used in a variety of ways by our research teams, e.g., office layout, community planning, etc.; however, for customers, the technology is available as part of Autodesk Fusion Ultimate. I know that is disappointing. The technology will be making its way into our product lines as it is perfected.
