Hello, guys!
So, I am totally newbie to Maya and 3d Modelling and I am training some basic skills while modeling a wooden crate (following an old online course), but I am facing some problems here.
Well, everytime I try to unfold the crate, this happens:

My UV after I click Smooth > Unfold: https://i.imgur.com/7ZXr7xh.png
Online Course UV after clicking Smooth > Unfold: https://i.imgur.com/bN5vV75.png
I don't understand why my unfolding is uneven while theirs are equal. It seems that these overlapping UVs are creating this problem, but I don't know how to solve it. Funny thing is that I am following the course step by step.
Right after that, in the tutorial they tells us to go to Smooth UV Settings and click "Pin Borders", in order to hold the shape the best we can to achieve this result: https://i.imgur.com/loFx5HK.png
But mine simply get stuck and don't even move. I know I can make an automatic UV Mapping, but I want to understand what I am doing wrong and what have changed in UV Editor that's is completely different (somehow) of the old UV Texture Editor window.
Can someone help me? Thanks!
