hello, does anyone know of any really good step by step tutorials on how to do UV mapping or unwrapping clothing I am using Maya 2018 or Maya 2017 would do to for tutorials

Look for UV mapping a character, should be a very similar workflow.

Check you tube and the Autodesk learning channel.
