UV streching and distorted

Hello hello. It's been a while since I modeled something and I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. I modeled a thing, and I was doing Uv's. I noticed that the checker map was always kinda distorted, no matter the cuts i did in the UV editor ( I thounght that probably my Uv's were wrong). I also noticed that when I activate the Uv Distortion it's always  blue or red, even if it's not a real complex model. Am I doing something wrong?
Here are some screenshots. Also, when it's in 1, so not smoothed, it's fully red, but when it's in 3 its more blended.

Freeze the transforms first.

And do an automatic uvs.

Hi, thank you for the answer. I did it, and it's still distorted near the corners 😕

Yes and thats not a problem. Most of the mesh is white. And nothing is really dark red or blue.

If you want no stretching you need more seams which is depending on what you need a bad idea.
