transparent edges

I have this problem where the edges of the back are visible and I do not have xray mode activated, do you have any idea what it could be?

Maya can sometimes exhibit artifacts like this when drawing lines and surfaces and it may just be the scale of your scene, distance to camera etc.

One thing you could try is increasing your near clipping plane to see if that helps.
