Toggle Visibility? Help!

Help! I selected some faces of my model and I pressed "H" to hide them. But now I can't get them to show again. I've tried Show > All and everything I can think of but I can't get the missing faces to show.

Weird… Display -> show - > all ,should unhide it all, or if you just select the  object hide it and shift+h unhide it again the faces should be visible after that as well

I tried Shift H with no luck. I hid more faces and was able to get them back with Shift H though.

I just reverted to a previous save. I'll have to redo some things but it's not too big a deal.

I'm not sure what happened. I'm sure I saw the outline after I pressed H so I couldn't have accidentally pressed Delete but maybe the faces did get deleted somehow after that. Hopefully, it won't happen again.

Could be some graphic bug, I remember that I once bridged some holes but the faces werent visible but were there, after reloading they appeared.
