The WEIRDEST problem I've had yet

So... I selected faces from a sphere, that I just created... And this is what happens (check the picture!), a random amount of faces are selected from apart the proper selection! First time I actually feel sad having to deal with these issues like 5h a day, rather than willful to keep solving them. I reseted Maya to default settings from preferences, checked the culling, reflection, camera based selection... I just dunno.

Ok, now I know it has to do something with when you drag a selection region over faces! This does not appear selecting faces without holding the LMB.

Camera based selection from the preferences was the right solution... I chose it from the selection tools settings first from the tool settings, but you need to go window > settings/preferences > Preferences, selection and then mark the camera based selection... Cool
