Symmetry not working on quad draw meshs after combine.

Hey guys I'm doing the retopology on my model. I created two separate quad draw meshs to finish off the retopology. After I combine them together it can't be symmetrical selection anymore. I had try the freeze transformation but not working. The mirror tool can't be used because it will break the quad draw mesh. Can someone tell me the solution? Thanks!

Hi,

Object (and world) symmetry rely on the object being symmetrical about the center point. If your combined mesh's center is not in the center of the object then those symmetry modes will not work.

You might be able to fix it by using center pivot and bake pivot as shown below:

Another option is to use topological symmetry which uses the topology of the object to calculate symmetry so it can be used with posed meshes that are not symmetrical in 3D but have the same topology on both sizes of the mesh.

Topo symmetry can also be used to copy symmetry from one side of a mesh to another. See the documentation on symmetrical editing for more info:
