Square next to cursor

I'm a total newbie to Maya. I might have accidentally clicked on something, then a little square appeared with my cursor, and it just won't go away. How do I get rid of it?

Hi!

This is the default cursor when any of the transform tools is selected.

At the left menu select the arrow (Select Tool) or try hotkey "Q".
