Speedcut launches, but wont work.

I just installed maya 2022 just so I could get my hands on Speedcut but it keeps erroring. Really hope someone can help. 

new install of maya 2022

new install of MayaBonusTools-2018-2022-win64

launch speedCut 1.59

create Cube 

cube selected>hit base Mesh "set" button
