Scale tool won't let me scale y axis lower than 1

I am using mac system, new user and I have two questions. One is the scale tool won't let me scale lower than 1 scale on Y axis when drag, but I can still input number.  Another is when I create a ploygan, it create automatically on the origin 1x1x1 ploygan. But I want drag and pull to create ploygan, anyone know where is the setting for that?

Thx

To create objects by dragging on the screen, Click Create->Polygon Primitives->Interactive Creation.

As for your scaling question...double-click on the scale tool icon on the left side of your screen, then click "Reset Tool" and see if you're still having a problem.

Hi deionpan,

As pshwayka mentions, resetting the Scale Tool's settings should fix the scaling issue you're facing.  A couple releases back, we added a new "Prevent Negative Scale" option to the Scale Tool (documentation link).  It's On by default - turning this off will allow you to scale components negatively.

Thanks.
