As the title says.
I have a scene set up with multiple "building blocks", pillars, walls etc.
So the pillars, for example, are referenced multiple times and used in multiple locations.

But when I try to replace the referenced geometry with an updated version it gets mangled, vertices end up going to random places. Is this a bug or a "feature" and replacing references does something else than what I expect it to do?

Are there any settings or work flows that will simply update the referenced geometry?

Hi!

This sounds as if the mesh has edits applied in the referenced scene.

If just the position (transform node) was edited this should not happen.

For further help, please provide the main scene and at least one of the referenced files.
