Quad draw not snapping to surface

Im having a problem with quad draw not snapping to the surface of my live mesh. The lines or vertices are snapping to the inside of the mesh rather than the surface. I have seen people post about similair problems but no real solution seems to have been suggested. Scaling the model up does not fix the problem either.

Hi,

Quad draw can have issues with thin surfaces where points being moved decide they are closer to the inner surface and snap to that one.

To get the points back on the right surface you may need to exit Quad Draw, move the points in front of the surface and then re-activate quad draw and move them to snap them back onto the reference surface.

I would suggest working on a modified version of your reference mesh with the inner surface removed but some people have reported that scaling up the reference mesh can also help with this issue:

Also, make sure you don't have snap-to-backfaces enabled in your quad draw tool settings.

I hope these suggestions are useful.
