Panel Layout Confusion

Hey There,

I'm trying to do something that feels like it should be really easy, but after a lot of googling, I can't find an answer.

All I want to do, it adjust my layout to be: 3 panels on the left of my screen, 1 on the right. However, I can't seem to do anything like that. I've tried tearing the panels, fiddling with the panels menu, etc. and nothing seems to work. Is there no way to set a custom layout of the standard 4 panels, except place 3 of those (the Top, Front, Side views in my case) on the left of the screen and the perspective on the right?

For context, I'm using an ultrawide monitor and, because it gives me so much space to play with, I want to declutter the right side of the screen.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I Think I have a solution for you.

1. Pick one view port. At the top of the viewport you should have " View Shading Lighting Show Render Panels"

2. click on "panels"

3. One the "panels" option box that pops up, select "Edit Layouts"

4. From the "Configuration" drop down, select "Four Panes Split Left"

5. Save the layout for the future. (see the you tube video)

Let me know if this is what you are looking for

How to do.

  1. Right click on this icon in the Tool box.
  2. select Edit layouts...

if the Tool box not showing, use space bar marking menu>Left Side Right Click>Tool Box
