Object turned black after boolean difference

so hey guys i used some basic cube objects shaped into rectangles for this sunroof and when i applied the boolean difference it turned the object black and now the black part of this window frame has no faces on it that i casn select and alter/ edit. Any idea how to fix this

Hi!

Try Mesh Display -> Reverse,

to reverse normals.

 

But faces should be selectable independent of normal direction.

Hey so0rry for necro-posting but I have the same problem and the reverse did nothing then change which part of the object turned black. First were the parts I wanhted to cut out of my object black, I used reverse then everything else was black and what I wanted to cut out was grey. Who can help me?

Hi!

Correct normals on input objects or correct them for individual components afterwards.
