Hello,
I am relatively new to Maya modeling but recently have been attempting to 3d print an object out of Maya. I understand that to do this you have to export from Maya as a .obj file and then in my case, I have used an app called CAD exchanger to convert to a .stl that the 3d printing software can use. However, when I export from Maya as an OBJ the model becomes, well, weird, having planes connecting etc that were not there in the Maya model, as shown in the screenshots attached. Also, if I import this OBJ back into Maya it still shows all the weird planes that shouldn't be there. Could someone please let me know if I am doing anything wrong or how I can fix the issue.
Cheers.
