OBJ export exporting two frames at once

Hi all, running into an issue trying to export an OBJ out of Maya. I downloaded this from turbosquid with a built in animation, but I'm just trying to render out individual "frames" as OBJs. Whenever I try to do that, it gives me an OBJ with two frames baked in (ie this horse at two different positions). Any way around this? My end goal is getting an OBJ sequence I can use in Element 3D (Aftereffects).

Open Horse_00 in Maya and delete one of the horses and export it again. The horse you downloaded is rigged and so it has two shape nodes. The original mesh and the deforming mesh. Find the frame you want and duplicate it and hit shift "P" to unparent it. Then you can go to the node editor and delete the original shape or deforming shape. This will give it one shape node. You will only see one horse in the 3d viewer.  It's also just easier to open Maya and delete the other horse.  There is a thing called animation snapshot that makes all your frames into obj.
