Need help with tank track conforming to curve

Im trying to make tank tracks but I can't figure out why the tread is not going around the curve and it extruding out. I've watched so many tutorials and none of them cover it.

It is extruding out, because it is rigged incorrectly. There should be two kinds of links - the plates and the connectors, both with correctly set rotation pivots. And be aware, that the thread will change its total length if the links will slide on too bent curve, so you might get some frames/places with breaking connections between links. Safest would be using joint chain with SplineIK and distance measure between both lose ends, which introduce a minute scale to every joint.
