Maya issues when opening, e.g failed to apply color & black window on perspective and side mode.

Hello,

I am having an issue when opening Maya, saying that it failed to apply color so I did try the Preferences> Display > Rendering engine > OpenGL -Legacy.   But this doesn't work.

Also after trying to do some models my perspective mode and sometimes the side mode turns total black.

I tried many things but I have not been able to find the issue. Also, I imported the animbot educational edition to my Maya. ( I don't believe that's the issue but worth mentioning it)

My Computer is an iMac with processor 2.7 Ghz intel  core i5, Memory 12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 and Graphics card AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512MB .

Did you delete the preference folder of Maya ? . It looks like there is something in the scene which is blocking the view.

In that viewport, go to the camera tab and choose Default View. Or from the panel menu create a view perspective camera

You can change the shading to wire frame and see if it is not black. Hope it helps.
