Maya 2016 X-Gen Hair Lenght not fully rendering

Hello,

I am currently learning Maya, and I am now getting the hang of X-Gen. However, as the picture included shows. The hair on the render is not as long as the preview? I have tried rebuiding/regenerating the geometry, and toyed with various length settings but to no avail.

- Render method: Mentalray

- I do have a clump modifyer, but I tried without it as well

- I tried to rebuild the geometry (deleted it in the outliner, rebuilt it in the mental-ray settings tab in the preview/output tab in the Xgen window.

Any suggestions?

With regards,

Have you tried adjusting the Primitive Bound value (or clicking "AutoSet"?) It's in the Output Settings section shown in your screencap.
