MASH Mesh not distributing on surface of target model

Hello there all, suffering student here in need of help.

Recently become familiar with the MASH tool but I'm having issues, simply my flower mesh isn't distributing onto the target mesh as can be seen below.

However it's working absolutely fine if I'm to use just a simple polygon cube that hasn't been adjusted in anyway.

Although if I move the position of the cube and scale then I get the exact same error as I do with the flowers, so I can't seem to use my custom meshes at all currently (I have also ensured to delete history and freeze transformations before putting my meshes through the MASH system).

On Windows 10, using Maya 2018.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi!

Freeze Transformations is often used wrong.

Your pivot has to be at the center of the object.

Many thanks!I

h

reset the pivot but I'm assuming this isn't making it the absolute centre then. Is there a way I can go about ensuring I get a pivot centered for meshes?

Hi!

The "correct" center depends on the object and the needs, for example for a leaf you don't want to use the center of the leave, you should use the point where it's connected to a branch.

Place the pivot, then bake it, done.
