Im trying to follow this guys tutorial but I use Maya and was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to do the equivalent in maya.
The purpose is to create a 'skybox' with my own hi rez image of a nebula that i can import into unreal engine 4 and replace the default sky with.

A program called spacescape chops an image up into 6 pieces, each of which you assign to the face of a cube, then you reverse the normals so they are on the inside of the cube. You also have to rotate the UV's on a couple faces usually to make things line up seamlessly.
So far i cannot find the normals menu in the new version of maya. I've gone into face mode, and in the 'color' menu uploaded the TOP image, it shows up as a mostly black face on the top of the cube instead of the more colorful version i see when i open the image.
Can anyone help?
